MCC is looking for a Maintenance Technician. This person is responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance team, managing mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, adhering to safety regulations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the company. Your focus will be on delivering excellent service to internal customers while meeting performance expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

- People Management:

- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance team to take care of all production equipment and machinery.
- Manage job cards, ensuring accurate documentation of work performed, parts used, and time taken.
- Foster teamwork and promote cross-departmental collaboration to drive continual improvement.
- Active member of the day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Process/Productivity:

- Oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as per OHSAct regulations.
- Maintain high standards of maintenance and housekeeping practices.
- Coordinate responsibilities for effective manning, stock control and housekeeping of the maintenance workshop.
- Implement and uphold the principles of the MCC quality program.
- Coordinate and perform routine and preventative maintenance and be available for overtime work if necessary.
- Develop an understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and actively participate in continual improvement initiatives.
- Safety:

- Ensure site compliance to all OHSAct regulations.
- GMR 2.1 appointment.
- Customer Satisfaction (Internal and/or External):

- Attend to callouts, root cause analysis, problem solving and preventative action, as and when required.
- Provide training on the handling and use of specialized equipment.
- Manage stock levels of mechanical, electrical, consumables and other spare parts to ensure availability.
- Proactively manufacture and/or order parts to minimize downtime.
- Financials:

- Maintain cost control on all maintenance expenses, call-outs and overtime to within monthly budgets and KPIs.
- Projects:

- Implement capex projects.
- Initiate and implement productivity improvement projects.
- General Maintenance of:

- Buildings and terrain
- Plant Services

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum N6 Fitting & Turning or N6 Electrical qualification.
- Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical trade.
- Supervision experience will be advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in a technical department.
