**Essential**:

- 3-5 years’ experience working as a copywriter across a range of communication platforms.
- Experience working in a marketing or advertising agency environment.

**Preferred**:

**SKILLS required**:

- Excellent copywriting and writing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Understand the Ackermans brand identity
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- A good command of the English language
- Proficient in MS-Office Suite
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief)
- Solutions and deadline-driven
- The ability to:

- Write, proofread and edit accurate, concise and highly readable content
- Generate creative ideas, coupled with sound editorial judgement
- Be resilient and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Be proactive
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- **QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**

**Essential**:

- A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
- 3 Year Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Communication, English or Journalism

- Knowledge of the retail clothing industry is a strong advantage
