Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings for fire protection systems, including sprinkler, detection, and alarm systems.
Work closely with engineers and project managers to create designs that meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Ensure all designs comply with ASIB (Association of Fire Protection Associations of South Africa) and FHC (Fire Hydrant Certification) standards.
Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and schematics for fire safety systems.
Conduct site assessments to understand project requirements and accurately reflect them in design plans.
Review and verify drawings to ensure accuracy and functionality before submission to clients or authorities.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
Maintain organized records of all design files and project documents.
Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
Fully conversant with ASIB and FHC standards and regulations within the fire industry.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a draughtsman or similar role, ideally within the fire industry.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce precise technical drawings.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.
A valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transport.
