Collect component layout and relevant gauges
- Experience with Tornos machines would be highly advantageous
- Ensure operational area are safe and hazard free
- Set machine according to layout and component specification
- Keep set-up scrap to a minimum
- Submit first of samples to inspection
- Comprehensive training of operators on machine operating and IDMs checks
- Identify out of specification trends and make remedial action where necessary
- Ensure all tools and cam s are labeled and stored correctly
- Timeously request or ordering of relevant tools or parts
**Education: Minimum Requirements**:
- Trade test (machinist, toolmaker) preferred
**Job Experience & Skills Required**:
- Previous experience in a high volume precision mechanical engineering environment
- Good technical knowledge of technical drawing, equipment and machinery
- Excellent interpersonal skills
