Junior Product Designer

**Responsibilities**:
This is a summary of the Junior Product Designer role and the duties to be performed as organized by the following key responsibility areas.
**1. Supporting Design Solutions**:

- Assists in creating innovative solutions for various product design challenges under guidance.
- Contributes to design for both new experiences and improvements to existing ones.
- Focuses on understanding and implementing strategic design directions provided by senior team members.
- Iterates on interactive design solutions based on user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals with mentorship.

**2. User research**:

- Participates in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, with support from senior designers.
- Helps create user personas and journey maps based on research findings.
- Collaborates with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate user insights into the product.

**3. Stakeholder Collaboration**:

- Supports senior designers in advocating for design solutions aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Assists in fostering collaboration between the design team and other departments.
- Works closely with developers and product owners throughout stages of the production cycle to refine designs.
- Participates in presenting design work and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
- Contributes to the design team’s collective knowledge of user-centered design methodologies.

**4. Design Execution**:

- Creates storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas with guidance.
- Develops user-friendly and visually appealing work, focusing on foundational design principles.
- Assists in assessing and optimizing design features through feedback and performance metrics.
- Maintains and follows user-interface specifications and design documentation for consistency.

**5. Process Contribution**:

- Supports the validation and iteration of design solutions through feedback sessions and testing activities.
- Helps adapt product experiences for different audiences and devices, focusing on responsive and accessible design.
- Collaborates on web and mobile product concepts as part of a cross-functional team.
- Adheres to established UX principles, processes, and design systems.

**6. Team Collaboration & Learning**:

- Works closely with the design team and other stakeholders to learn and align with overall product goals.
- Participates in discussions with Tech Leads and senior designers to refine interaction architecture and behavior.
- Contributes to an environment that promotes consistent UI/UX principles and collaboration.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in Design, User Experience (UX), Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and experience can substitute for formal education.
- 0 to 2 years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Basic understanding of prototyping tools and methods.
- Experience creating wireframes, user flows, and basic interaction design principles.
- Familiarity with responsive and accessible design practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers.
- Knowledge of basic front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to understand technical constraints (nice to have).
- Exposure to agile development processes or tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana (nice to have).
