Johannesburg, South Africa GAAP Point of Sale Full time

GAAP Point of Sale is recruiting an Installation Technician. The position is based at our offices in Midrand, Johannesburg and the successful applicant will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager - Installations or their nominees at GAAP where applicable.

**Job Specification**:

- Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about Hardware and Software.
- Gather customer’s information and determine the issue by evaluating and analysing the root cause of the problem.
- Teach clients how the software works.
- Stay with the client from open to close.
- Follow standard processes and procedures.
- Identify and escalate priority issues per Client specifications.
- Ensure that the client is trained to spec before leaving the store after 3 days.
- Escalate challenges experienced to the team leader as soon as it happens.
- Report back regularly to team leader as required.
- Stay up to date with software/hardware changes/enhancements.

**Minimum Requirements & Competencies**:

- Must have own reliable transport.
- Must have valid driver’s licence.
- Must have a Matric certificate and basic IT knowledge.
- Must be able to work for long periods of time.
- Position requires patience.
- Position requires an analytical and positive thinker.
- Must be presentable and well spoken.

- High School (matric) (required)
License/Certification:
