Assistant Audit Manager
**Requirements**:

- A relevant three
- year qualification with preference in auditing

relevant to the area of audit specialisation such as
Accounting and Computer Science
- Professional Internal Auditor and studying towards a relevant

professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor
and/or other relevant professional designation with
completed articles or IIA Learnership
- Certified Internal Auditor/ Chartered Accountant CA(SA)/

Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) is
preferred
- Registered with a recognised audit or other recognised and

relevant professional institute/body
- Minimum eight (8) years’ Key Performance Indicator audit

and Performance Audit experience (which includes two (2)
years of supervisory / management experience)

including SAP and Audit Software (such as BarnOwl) is
preferred
- Valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Create, implement and monitor a corporate wide risk-based

Audit Plan
- Perform, manage, monitor and review audit work in

compliance with relevant legislation, policies, regulations,
frameworks, standards (e.g. IPPF) and guidelines
- Demonstrate knowledge base and experience in governance,

controls and risk management
- Maintain sound relations and demonstrate sound business

values to stakeholders
- Execute general management functions to maintain a

professional environment, so that the Department can meet
its objectives, efficiently and economically
- Manage assigned resources in the Internal Audit Branch in

order to achieve the approved audit plan and the branch/
department goals in the most efficient and effective manner.
