**Purpose**

To Fettle castings for supply to the Machine Shop to the required output rate and quality standards while adhering to the relevant SHEQ procedures.

**Qualification**
- Minimum Grade 12 with standard grade Mathematics
- Willing to work shifts and overtime
- Safety Awareness
- Quality Awareness
- Tolerance for stress to meet deadlines / efficiencies
- Teamwork orientation
- Attention to detail
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Physical strength (lift +/- 25kgs), safe lifting practice
- Stand for long periods of time
- Must be performance driven and results orientated
- Must be decisive and take ownership for decisions

**PPE**

As determined by task / machine procedure. Safety glasses, face shield, long leather gloves, overall, safety boots, dust mask / respirator.

**HAZZARDS and PRECAUTIONS**

Noise, dust, moving machine parts, forklift movement

**Key Performance Areas**:
Castings fettled output rate of 250 pieces per shift. Castings fettled in accordance with QC and customer requirements. Zero lost time injuries

**Detailed Job Description**
- Determine and Eliminate waste in your area
- Ensure strict control of all materials allocated to you for your work.
- Carryout work as per instructed.
- Carry work out in a manner that eliminates reject production.
- Comply with process sheets, work instructions and procedures within area.
- Monitor and report on scrap levels or concerns that might arise in your work area immediately to your team leader.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects when requested.
- Engage in company training and development programs to multiskill and better yourself.
- Understand and adhere to the company disciplinary code at all times
- Hand in daily output reports, rework and scrap control data as required.
- Report on all faulty equipment immediately.
- Ensure that all safety measures are taken before using equipment, this includes carrying out inspection as per check sheets and filing forms
- Always ensure that you comply with PPE required in your area
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Any other reasonable instruction
