Looking for a Legal Specialist within the Financial Services space to provide professional advisory services and ensure there is compliance.

**_ Primary Duties and Responsibilities:_**
- Offer expert guidance on legislation, regulations, and their practical implications for the non-life insurance industry.
- Engage in legislation and regulation processes impacting the financial sector and non-life insurance.
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders in the financial sector and **non-life insurance industry**.
- Stay updated on future developments in the legislative landscape and assess their impact on your business.
- Coordinate and manage internal company committees related to business conduct and prudential matters.
- Act as a representative of your company in external committees and regulatory authorities.
- Provide legal support on internal legal matters, labor legislation, contracting, and review of legal documents.
- Collaborate with external legal experts when necessary.
- Draft submissions on draft legislation and subordinate legislation on behalf of your company and its members.
- Coordinate and submit board papers, reports, and industry submissions pertaining to legal matters.
- Manage and oversee relevant company projects.
- Assist in assessing and adjudicating complaints against your company's code of conduct.

**_ Education, Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Attitude:_**
- **Hold an LLB degree and preferably be admitted as an attorney or advocate**.
- Possess 3-5 years of legal advisory experience in a regulated industry, preferably in compliance or a legal function within financial services.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Financial Sector Legislation.
- Excel as an analytical thinker and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
- Exhibit excellent writing skills for drafting and reporting purposes.
- Capable of facilitating workshops and chairing meetings.
- Thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Display exceptional negotiation skills.
- Embrace a leadership style that instills confidence and builds relationships internally and externally.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
