An opportunity exists in the national transfer pricing team of the Tax Advisory Division in Mazars; an international professional services firm.

To independently acquire and lead transfer pricing assignments, carry out research relating to a variety of tax and other related issues (covering the full spectrum of transfer pricing) and to compile appropriate reports/opinions/letters and other documents.

To review reports/opinions/letters and documents prepared by other tax advisors/clients and to liaise with clients, their advisors and SARS where appropriate.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Research
- Consulting and tax advice
- Tax administration and dispute resolution
- Budget management in respect of client engagements
- Manage risk management procedures
- Manage individual/business unit productivity - Articles and other client communication material
- Training & development
- Focus/and or Operational Group Leader
- Assist with department budgets - Recommend billing amounts and timings
- Role model the organisational culture and instil culture in others
- Assist with staffing - Assist with performance management
- Mentoring and coaching - Maintain client relationships
- Grow client portfolio
- Identify cross-selling opportunities

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Accounting/Legal/Economics degree plus post graduate tax qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ tax consulting experience as a client
- facing Tax Consultant in a professional services environment
- Minimum of 1 year’s transfer pricing experience highly recommended
- Sound knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines as well as South African transfer pricing guidance
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office package)
- Familiarity with relevant software to perform comparable searches
- Excellent writing and reporting skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and situations
- Ability to gather information and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Excellent relating and networking skills
- Ability to plan and organise activities
