Reconciliation Administrator
G4S has a vacancy for a Senior Reconciliation Administrator based in Centurion, reporting to the Team Leader:Reconciliations.
The Reconciliation Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration/completion of the reconciliation process in line with company policies and procedures.
The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which support plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

The accurate and timely administration/completion of the reconciliation process in line with company policies and procedures.

**Oversee the Quality Control, Review and Support on Cash Reconciliations**
- Ensuring good overall quality of cash reconciliations perform at Head Office on behalf of CPC’s
- Monitor, compile and check daily bank recons
- Check that the correct balances have been used in all reconciliations.
- Choose random items to request and validate the entries on the recon performed by Recon Administrators.
- Ensure that branch employees adhere to policies and procedures and report on non-adherence.
- Assist and guide branches
**Accurate, Timely and Completion of Designated Reconciliations**
- Counter-check that the correct balances have been used in all reconciliations performed by Recon Administrators.
- Review and check validity on month end recons, report non-adherence / issues
- Review age analysis on cash reconciliations and follow up on anomalies
- Manage the bank recons and treasury recons and ensure submission to Head Office
**Resolution of Queries and Provision of Support on Outstanding Reconciliation Matters**
- Assisting branches with cash processing recons and resolving queries
- Assist with daily operational / finance admin issues / queries pertaining to cash processing and related activities
- Visits to branches as required
- Provide training for new staff / up-skill existing staff to assist in query resolution
**Health and Safety**
- Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
- Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Wear protective clothing all the time
**Minimum Requirements: Qualification, Experience and Skills and Attributes**
- Diploma or Financial Qualification
- Grade 12
- 3-5 Years relevant working experience in reconciliations, would be deemed appropriate for this level position
- Previous Cash Management Centre experience would be highly beneficial
- Solid understanding of ERP/Accounting packages - SAP would be advantageous
- Computer Literacy in MS Office Packages essential, with specific reference to intermediate Excel intermediate
- Exposure/experience dealing with banking systems
**Knowledge**:
- Knowledge of administrative procedures
- Knowledge of reconciliation procedures
- Knowledge of Cash Management Centre processes
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures
**Skills**:
- MS Office Computer skills (Excel, pivot tables)
- Communication (written and verbal)
- Banking systems - ABSA, FNB, STD Bank and Nedbank
- Knowledge of G4S Settlement process
- Knowledge of CPC processing system - COPS and CashOps advantageous
