Varnisher

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for varnishing by sanding, filling, and smoothing as needed **On Board Cruise Ship**
- Select and mix varnish to achieve desired color and consistency
- Ensure even coverage and smooth finish by sanding and buffing between coats
- Inspect finished surfaces for imperfections and make necessary touch-ups
- Maintain and clean varnishing equipment and tools
- Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment at all times
- Collaborate with other crew members to coordinate varnishing projects and prioritize tasks
- Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project
- Stay updated on new techniques and products in the varnishing industry

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Varnisher, preferably in a marine or woodworking environment
- Ability to mix and match colors to achieve desired results
- Familiarity with different types of wood and their reactions to varnish
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
- Physically fit and able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends as needed

Pay: R6 000,00 - R9 000,00 per month
