- Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager will provide oversight and leadership for the HSE Management

functions across ENGIE Africa.- The role will be responsible for the improvement and management of policies, procedures and programs to

understand, manage and improve all aspects of health, safety and environment to minimise operational risk across the
- organisation.**4. KEY AREAS**
Listed activities are intended to describe the core essentials, however not an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities and
- requirements:
- Direct report to Country CEO or to Executive Committee member accountable for HSE with possible open direct

access to CEO.- Member of Country Executive Committee
- Functional line report to AMEA Head of HSE
- Head of HSE functional line for HSE Manager from Country Entities

**5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Health, Safety & Environmental- Set strategy and framework for managing HSE within the Country Entities considering key business opportunities

and/or threats in terms of HSE (this should be the first responsibility)- Ensure a consistent HSE Risk Management process across Country Entities
- Key HSE accountable person for all Thermal & Supply, Renewable and Networks, Construction & Development

projects- Support to AMEA HSE Department to achieve Group Objectives and compliance to Group Policies and Rules within

the Country entities- Reporting on Group Performance Objectives, Policies and Rules to AMEA HSE Department
- Set local policies in line with Group policies
- Oversee guidance and support to Country Entities on matters related to Safe Systems of Work, Company Safety

Rules and Operational Excellence (second responsibility)- Lead Country Entities in HSE incident management to prevent reoccurrences, coordinating management of high

potential incident investigations to ensure continuous improvement- Lead the strategic HSE training and competency for entities aligned with Group and AMEA requirements
- Accountable for quality reporting of HSE KPIs to Group
- Lead implementation of HSE process during acquisition, conducting HSE due diligence, supporting HSE in company

integration process & perform HSE submissions.- Lead the implementation of COVID-19 compliance and good practice initiatives.

**Key Deliverables**
- Conduct HSE due diligence
- Establish construction and operational HSE minimum requirements and framework
- Trainer: Leadership in Health and Safety (ENGIE University)
- Develop in-house training: Managerial Safety Visits
- Assess and advise on entity HSE performance
- Conduct assessments: peer reviews, audits, and gap assessments
- Conduct and review risk assessments- Advise on HSE Objectives and action plans
- Support AMEA Operational Excellence program implementation
- Support Insurance loss prevention assessment implementation of recommendations
