**ABOUT THE MEDICAL AFFAIRS TEAM**
You will join a high performing medical team who combine medical expertise with commercial acumen. Problem-solving is second nature, and with an agile enterprise mindset, the team proactively takes accountability and moves out of comfort zones to achieve the best results.
**What You’ll Do**
The Oncology Medical Advisor is a key member of the local Medical Affairs team and contributes to the planning and execution of Therapy Area and brand medical strategies. The Medical Advisor works closely with the oncology cross-functional and commercial teams, including the sales team, and is responsible for the execution of the local Medical Affairs (MA) strategy in support of the organization's business strategy and objectives.
An external and internal facing role that provides medical and clinical expertise to HCP’s and builds AZ scientific leadership in oncology. The role focuses on the development of professional relationships with KEE’s/KOLs building deep scientific understanding of AstraZeneca compounds by engaging them in ESRs, scientific exchange meetings and advisory board meetings. In addition, the Medical Advisor will input into Brand Strategy and LCM and take the lead in the design and implementation of medical activities aligned with Brand Strategy. Further internal accountabilities include the delivery of medical education and clinical support to medical professionals, training sales teams and involvement in development of brand strategy.
May take responsibility as Nominated Signatory reviewer for activities and promotional materials. May take responsibility for mentorship of MSL/s in the country. May lead Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance within a particular market.
**Typical Accountabilities**
- Accurate and balanced delivery of key scientific data to KEEs/KOLs on the management of various solid tumours and haematological cancers.
- Development of medical affairs plans and strategies.
- Real World Evidence Generation - initiation and management of non-interventional and observational studies.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing
- Strategic input and review of marketing material and market research surveys
- Prove market and KEE/KOL insights to support brand plan development, patient models and forecasting
- Speaker identification and briefing for promotional meetings
- Support for commercial-led educational events
