Our client, a well-known Fruit Export, has an exciting career opportunity for an independent, driven and well-organized Logistics Manager. As the Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing our supply chain activities related to fruit exports. You will oversee the transportation (including shipping), storage, and delivery of fruits to ensure timely and efficient operations.

This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of international logistics within the fruit export industry.

Responsibilities will include:
**Provide input to the development of strategic logistics plans to support the marketing strategy ** Optimize the transportation and distribution of fruits to international markets.

**Coordinate with Suppliers, Packing operations and Customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of fruits. ** Manage, negotiate, and monitor contracts with shipping lines and other supply chain providers.

**Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements. ** Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain, taking appropriate corrective actions.

**Collaborate with internal teams (planning, quality, and sales) to align logistics activities with overall business objectives. ** Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, implementing efficiency measures and cost-saving initiatives.

**Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to fruit export logistics. ** Manage and Lead a team of 9 people in logistics and forwarding

**Build trusted relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders ** Together with the GM Marketing & Logistics, drive existing customer growth strategies

**Requirements**:
**Honours degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field at a reputable institution.**

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a logistics manager preferably in a fruit export industry.

**Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing a team of professionals.**

Strong service delivery orientation within a deadline driven environment. **In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and documentation procedures.**

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

**Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.**

Proficiency in using software and tools for reporting purposes.

**Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. ** Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.

**Salary**: R80,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month
