**Key Performance Areas**:
**Ensure compliance to the Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Company policies and procedures**
- Ensuring Health Safety Security and Environmental meetings take place monthly and attending these meetings to keep abreast with new suggestions and developments concerning HSSE in the workplace.
- Attend Unit Risk Meetings
- Maintaining security and Risk Management records (Incident files, Incident investigations, Emergency drill records, etc.)
- Ensuring the emergency preparedness of I&J personnel and to conduct emergency drills as per the Group Risk Standards.
- Ensuring all emergency personnel are trained and appointed. (Fire Teams & First Aiders)
- Maintaining Emergency equipment registers as per the Group Risk Standards.
- Ensure communication in terms of incidents and new developments with subordinates and relative stakeholders.
- Ensure that security employees have received or attended appropriate training with regards to regulations and standard operational procedures.
- Monitor, modify, and plan the standard safety operational procedures as per department and division.
- Attend to, and resolve employee queries with regards to Health Safety Security and Environmental Management
- Ensure that all I&J employees comply with set Safety regulations.
- Ensure HSSE Induction to all contractors allowed on site.
- Liaise with local Police, Emergency Services, Risk Consultants and Security associations.

**Create and maintain Safety and Security Reports and Incident Reports**
- Conducting weekly meetings with security team to report on incidents
- Conduct incident investigations.
- Address incidents with service provider and the company OHS and Risk Management team.
- Compile, record, and manage incident reports.
- Record and report all potential and actual emergency situations.
- All serious or potentially serious situations to be reported immediately to the Operational Risk Manager and the Group Risk Manager

**Manage the security contract service providers**
- Ensure security service provider compliance to the regulations stipulated on the company agreement with regards to security staff in line with the Group Risk Standards, BCEA and LRA of AVI and I&J.
- Formulate security objective and procedures in consultation with the Operational Risk Manager.
- Evaluate and implement the applicable security standards and the recommendations of risk control consultants.
- Liaise with local police, emergency services, risk control consultants and security associations.
- Plan security strategy in consultation with the Operational Risk Manager
- Regularly re-evaluate protection of high-risk areas
- Establish the requirements for security staffing and/or contract guard services in consultation with the Operational Risk Manager
- Select and replace security personnel of contract security services
- Evaluate and monitor security systems and hardware.
- Screen potential security employees
- Monitor contract between service provider and request renewal when applicable.
- Report on contract security employees and ensure necessary corrective action is undertaken thus keep record.
- Ensure that all HR related documentation is received from and/or by the service provider i.e. leave requests, time sheets, disciplinary reports, etc.
- Ensure Site Inductions to all Contractors allowed on site.
- Ensure comprehensive job descriptions for all security personnel

**Monitor Safety and Security equipment on site**
- Ensure that emergency signage are visible and that employees and visitors are aware of them
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of emergency equipment on site.
- Ensure that the security and OHS signage on site are updated and renewed as per developments on site, company, and industry.
- Ensure the maintenance of all fire equipment and emergency protective clothing.
- Ensure the weekly testing of the sprinkler and/or fire detection systems - including all alarm systems.

**Ensure that Risk Management audits and inspections are conducted in accordance with the Group Risk Management Standards (stipulated by AVI)**
- Conduct site and plant HSSE audits of machinery, production plant and administration area’s weekly and record all findings.
- Ensure compliance to new procedures and processes implemented as corrective action.
