- Gauteng**Key Responsibilities (duties are not limited to the list as there may be other factors and challenges that may be experienced in the duties)**:

Provide daily supervision of assigned drivers and monitors to ensure proper and consistent performance of duties
Encourage and monitor the progress/performance of individual drivers
Coordinate training programs in accordance with the curriculum developed by the company
Coordinate, plan and implement driver training programs for the drivers such as conducting safe driving and safe working methods and procedures
Assess the driver’s practical skills related to all aspects of driving and to enhance in their advanced driving skills
Train new drivers in Emit operational process which includes deliveries, route scheduling and defensive driving skills
Train the driver on how to properly load trucks, operate GPS and complete paperwork to guarantee accurate deliveries
Assisting with investigations of accidents, hijackings, and any driver behavioural issues.
Instruct drivers in area of driving, safety, pre-trip checks, and company procedures
Work closely with fleet and operations to ensure that delivery SLAs are met
Make recommendations to the management on drivers who are competent and assist with performance counselling sessions
- **Inherent Requirements**

**Required Competency**
Good working knowledge of legislation pertaining transportation and road use
Exceptional driving and training skills and in possession of a valid driver’s permit
Demonstrate outstanding instructional skills
The ability to be flexible and professional with all levels of internal and external customers
Ability to maintain accurate records, assemble and organize data, and to prepare reports
Ability to communication effectively and speak a few languages
Must have working knowledge of safe driving practices and methods
Willing to travel and able to work evenings and weekends, as required
