Tax Consultant

Well established and growing international corporate consulting firm based on the East of JHB is looking for a Tax Consultant to join their achieving and dynamic firm. Lovely opportunity for an individual looking to grow, learn and achieve.

**Requirements**:

- Valid SA driver's license & own transport
- Tax qualification
- **Registered as a Tax Practitioner or studying towards this qualification**:

- Good Taxation knowledge
- Working Tax experience, including working with both Individuals' & Corporates' Taxation, will be advantageous
- Working knowledge of SARS eFiling
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong client focus
- Detail orientated
- Good organizational skills

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Submission of tax returns, including:
i.Personal tax returns

ii.Company tax returns

iii.Trust returns
- Reviewing assessments
- Submitting objections
- Managing provisional tax returns
- Keeping all tax files up to date
- Registering and deregistering all tax types
- Liaising with clients on:
a. Tax queries

b. Payment of taxes

c. Personal tax calculations

d. Provisional taxes
- Basic understanding of financial statements, as well as broader finance and accounting knowledge in order to liaise with role players and submit all applicable tax returns
- Handling SARS queries
- Tax Clearance pins
- Maintenance / updating of Tax related software
- Preparation and submission of tax objections
- Assisting with day-to-day admin
