Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst & Product Master Data Administrator is responsible for:
Analysing market trends, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures to develop and maintain optimal pricing strategies. This role ensures that pricing supports profi tability, market competitiveness, and compliance with company objectives.

Managing & reporting on product data, ensuring compliance to company & legal policies with regards to pricing & data management, & communicating & collaborating with internal & external stakeholders where required.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Pricing Strategy & Analysis**
- Analyse pricing data and trends to determine optimal product and service prices.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions to recommend adjustments.
- Evaluate cost structures and profi t margins to ensure sustainable pricing models.

**Data Management & Reporting**
- Maintain and update pricing databases and models.
- Prepare pricing reports and dashboards for management review.
- Analyse historical sales data to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
- Ensure any promotional pricing required by the sales team is captured, approved, & implemented.
- Manage customer price lists & ensure required communication with customers regarding this.
- Analyse results of all pricing promotions & communicate with relevant parties.
- Ensure all required product information (pricing, images, line drawings, spare parts etc.) is collected & updated to SAP & FTG.
- Assist product data manager with the upload of new products to SAP & FTG.

**Collaboration & Communication**
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and fi nance teams to align pricing strategies with business goals.
- Support product launches with pricing recommendations and competitive analysis.
- Provide guidance to sales teams on discounting policies and special pricing requests.
- Prepare & communicate sales bulletins with business & customers regarding pricing changes, price promotions, product changes, etc.
- Assist category management team with the MCR process where required.
- Liaise with the global team regarding the implementation of new ERP software where required, specifi cally with regards to pricing & product data.

**Compliance & Governance**
- Ensure pricing adheres to company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain documentation of pricing decisions and approval processes.
- Receipting of invoices on the ARIBA platform where required.

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related fi eld.
- 2-5 years of experience in pricing, fi nancial analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Must be able to use Google offi ce tools, e.g. Google Sheets, Slides etc., & MS Offi ce Suite at an “Experienced level”. i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel (Intermediate) & PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools, and ERP/CRM systems.
- Experience with statistical analysis and market research is an advantage.
