Tiler

**We are looking for qualified tilers (with trade certificates) minimum 5 years experience to join our team in the refurbishment of Mthatha Garden Court.**

**1. Reading and Interpreting Plans**
- Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine tile layout.
- Measuring and marking surfaces for tile placement.

**2. Preparing Work Surfaces**
- Cleaning and leveling surfaces before tiling.
- Cutting tiles to fit around obstacles like pipes and corners.

**3. Laying and Fixing Tiles**
- Ensuring tiles are level, straight, and evenly spaced.
- Using spacers to maintain uniform gaps for grouting.

**4. Grouting and Finishing**
- Filling tile joints with grout and wiping excess material.
- Sealing tiles and grout to prevent moisture penetration.
- Polishing and cleaning finished surfaces.

**5. Repairing and Replacing Tiles**
- Removing damaged or broken tiles.

**6. Using Tools and Equipment**
- Working with tile cutters, trowels, spacers, levels, and adhesives.
- Operating power tools such as wet saws and grinders.

**7. Ensuring Safety and Quality Control**
- Following workplace safety protocols.
- Wearing PPE like gloves, goggles, and knee pads.
- Checking alignment and finishing details for a high-quality outcome.

**8. Coordinating with Other Trades**
- Communicating with site supervisors, plumbers, and electricians.
- Working with construction teams to meet project deadlines.

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to R14 000,00 per month
