**JOB DESCRIPTION**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Village Manager at Evergreen Lifestyle Villages.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
The purpose of the Village Manager is to set the tone for our communities with motivation, care and compassion. As a village manager at Evergreen your priorities are your residents, their families, and your team, while managing the day-to-day operations of a premier Lifestyle Village.
Having an extraordinary ability to prioritize, effectively manage multiple tasks and effortlessly delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests should be second nature to a seasoned manager in this position.
With a minimum of ten years of management experience, you should have the ability to demonstrate good judgment and have strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
**KEY FOCUS AREAS**
- Maintains high degree of resident satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services. Provides leadership for staff and residents to include proactively solving problems and resolving issues with support from corporate leaders.
- In conjunction with corporate operations, executes annual operating and capital budgets. Aggressively anticipates and minimizes negative budget variance and deficits, meets and exceeds budget occupancy goals for the property. Continually explores means of revenue enhancement and expense reduction.
- trains employees in accordance with company policies.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Matric / Grade 12
- Tertiary education in Hospitality or Business Management
- Certificate or Training in MS Office
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, invoicing, debtors and creditors, financial records and statistics
- Minimum of five years related leadership experience required; or equivalent combination of education
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work without supervision and deadline driven
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Ability to use initiative and be proactive and self-driven
- Ability to lead a team
- Own Transportation and valid licence
- Must be available/contactable 24/7
