Take daily customer steam readings
- Pick up/drop off chemicals from Lab, clear and collect post daily and fetch milk for Boiler Station.
- Be capable of operating high pressure cleaning equipment.
- Carry out regular equipment inspections and issue work requests to maintenance staff/contractors.
- Transporting, loading and offloading of 25kg sodium bags to brine mixing tanks.
- Assist with placing of 210lt drums for water treatment chemicals in Lab.
- Assist with standby vessel entry in boilers furnaces, steam drums etc., during shutdowns and statutory inspections.
- Assist during the emergency breakdowns, (in the emergency conditions, which may arise either due to faulty or equipment failure within the boiler attendants area or outside of it, e.g. power failures, plant emergency shutdowns and troubles.
- Responsible to maintain good housekeeping in plant general areas.
- Carry out weekly vehicles inspections.
- Inspect conveyors and other equipment and report defects.
- Inspection of scaffolding, ensure it is safe before anyone works on it.
- Arrange clearing of ash chutes, paddlers when (standby coal boiler) is online.
- Responsible of Safety, Health and Environment according to AECI standards.**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Matric/Grade 12/Equivalent
- Boiler work experience would be an advantage
- Must be able to control, supervise and assist dayshift work.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and standby duties (vessel entry).
- Must be physically fit.
- Must have clearance acceptors as required to sign on/ on behalf of working parties and do standby duties.
- Must have reliable transport, to arrive early to take customers steam readings.
- Must expect to assist with heavy work, cleaning internals, externals and inspect of the boilers.**Competencies**:
