GAAP Point of Sale is recruiting an **Onsite Support Technician**. The position is based at our offices in Midrand, Johannesburg, and the successful applicant will be reporting to the **Assistant Service Delivery Manager (JHB) **or their nominees at GAAP where applicable.

**Job Specification**:

- Installation of new computer systems and solutions for the hospitality industry.
- Training of customers on installed computer systems and software programs.
- Support, troubleshoot and resolution of call-outs relating to installed software programs on customer's site.
- Support, troubleshoot and resolution of call-outs relating to installed HARDWARE on customer's site.
- Programming of software to work in customer's environment.
- Finding solutions and adapting software for best use within the customer environment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- IT qualification is highly recommended (preferably with N+ and A+)
- Windows networking experience
- Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in the IT field
- IT Technical Support background (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be willing to work irregular hours and to travel long distances.

**Highly Preferable**:

- MCSA
- MCSE
- Point Of Sale experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R14,000.00 - R17,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- IT Technical Support: 1 year (preferred)
- IT field: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (required)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
