QPro Feeds is a dynamic animal feed manufacturing company with facilities in Bethlehem and Vrede, servicing both in-house and external clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the Human Resources function, contributing to the success of our people and operations.

The ideal team player will gain hands-on experience and grow within the mechanical and metal fabrication industry. You will support our skilled boilermakers in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Technical training or apprenticeship in metal fabrication or welding preferred
- Minimum 12 months of relevant experience in a mechanical, fabrication or construction environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support boilermaker with cutting, welding, grinding and fitting metal parts
- Perform minor welding, tacking and fitting under supervision
- Clean and maintain work areas, machinery and tools
- Assist in testing and inspecting finished assemblies for leaks/defects
- Support boilermaker with project planning and documentation as required
- Maintain inventory of tools and materials and report shortages
- Hold or position parts during welding and fitting processes
- Perform other duties as directed by the boilermaker or supervisor

**Skills Required**:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability for follow instructions and work under supervision
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Safety-conscious and compliant with site safety procedures.
