Our Engineering client in **Rosslyn**is on the lookout for a **TIG/MIG Welder.**

This role is to join, fabricate, and repair metal components using either TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques. This involves reading blueprints, preparing materials, operating welding equipment, and inspecting the final welds for quality and precision. The position requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety.

**Key responsibilities**:
**Interpreting technical drawings**:

Reading blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to understand project requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
- **Material preparation**:

Cutting metal components to size, cleaning surfaces, and setting up the workpieces in the correct alignment.
- **Welding**:
- **Equipment operation and maintenance**:

Setting up and operating various welding machines, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions.
- **Quality control**:

Inspecting completed welds to ensure they are clean, precise, structurally sound, and meet all required standards.
- **Safety compliance**:

Adhering to strict safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

A strong understanding of both TIG and MIG welding processes and how to use different welding machines.

The ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
