**Job Purpose**

To ensure that the environment (workplace) is clean and tidy.

Ensure that any safety hazards identified is reported for good management.

**Job Context**

Overall clean keeping of the environment in support to the business.

**Job Dimensions**
- Ensure the upkeep of the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Meticulously keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
- Identify potential hazards and reporting.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment.

**Key Accountabilities**

These will include:

- Perform a variety of cleaning activities not limited to sweeping and mopping the floors, dusting and

polishing as well as emptying trash cans.
- Ensure all offices are care for and inspected according to standards.
- Protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and request orders from procurement.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company related practices.
- Assist with answering and operating reception as may be requested.
- Assist with some of the clerical duties.
- Ensure COSHH (MSDS) file is updated for both chemicals and cleaning materials.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Matric / Grade 12
- Previous housekeeping experience will be an advantage.

- Ability to work well with time.
- Attention to detail and meticulous use of proper safety procedure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-directed and motivated.
