Lab Technician

**Job Overview**:
This role requires **regular travel to Port Elizabeth**, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and instruments.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed and organized lab documentation and test logs.
- Assist with research, development, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support production teams with technical input and lab-related queries.
- Coordinate logistics and sampling requirements when traveling to PE.
- Adhere to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and company SOPs.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of lab experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and safety protocols.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with LIMS is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between JHB and PE.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
