**Job Description and Responsibilities**:

- Understand the operation of PLC systems in order to do fault finding.
- Find & correct various Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic faults on machines in order to ensure production continuity.
- Assessing breakdowns and develop alternative solutions to prevent re-occurrences.
- Ensuring machine availability, accuracy and performance to enable continuous production within area of responsibility.
- Detect and rectify surface defects observed on production units that is directly linked to the output of the plant / paint equipment.
- Support with new facility installation commissioning to ensure proper functionality.
- Ensure equipment is switched off when not in use.

**Education and Experience**:

- NN Diploma, N Diploma in Electrical (light current), N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering,
- Certified training (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, conveyors, lifting equipment etc.)
- Have minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.

**Skills, Attributes & Other requirements**:
ESSENTIAL:

- Ability to analyze and correct any deviation on machine performance based on the manufactures specifications.
- Knowledge of the operation and control of Plant and Equipment.
- Have experience with test equipment within the Paint Shop.
- Be familiar with the procedure of test equipment within Paint Shop.
- Good communication skills
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Be prepared to work shifts, weekends and overtime
- Basic knowledge & skills related to PLC & HMI systems

PREFERERRED:

- Dual trade (millwright and fitter) or mechanical.
- Paint shop experience.
- Knowledge / experience on Wonderware.
- GAF Reporting and manipulation.
