**Investment Analyst**

**Cape Town**

This role is responsible for researching and analysing investment managers and making investment recommendations. This includes ongoing management and monitoring of investment portfolio.

**Investment Analysis**
- Determine investment universe, analyse asset manager solutions using qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Provide recommendations to the investment team
- Implement approved investment recommendations
- Monitor portfolio performance and manager performance of portfolios

**Investment Recommendation**
- Make recommendations regarding a manager of managers solution for an asset class, supported by qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Give input across all aspects of the investment process as required
- Compose client reporting commentary
- Prepare and provide presentations for client engagements
- Support business development in their engagements with clients

**Investment Implementation**
- Implementation of approved investment recommendations
- Monitoring of existing managers and portfolios

- Accountable for driving own research and delivery of recommendations in collaboration with team.
- Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality
- Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills
- Collaborates effectively with others to improve investment outcomes
- Accepts and lives the company values
- BCom or equivalent, investment experience.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in financial services, advantageous if asset management or multi-management industry.
- Studies or work experience should support an interest in investments. Study towards CFA, or a B degree focusing on portfolio management will be advantageous.
