Overview:
The purpose of a Software Quality Analyst is to analyse and improve the current testing process while completing Medium Projects on the complexity point of view. The sphere of influence is themselves, as well as the team and the team's portfolio of studios within the team. The SQA are expected to test, plan and prepare test strategies independently. They also must complete test completion, review and improvement as well as conduct test execution, prepare software test environments while being able to troubleshoot issues on simple projects.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Test Preparation and Planning
- Estimates the effort required independently.
- Full test coverage planned independently, this can be via the use of template or documentation available.
- Ensuring planning includes optimization and risk-based approaches.
- Projects are not necessarily templatized or fully documented.
- Planning should be completed within allocated timeframe and roadblocks raised internally at project level.
- Uncertain risk and edge scenario planning to be completed under guidance with final review of test strategy.
- Co-ordinate with team to distribute the Work/tasks and plan for the testing in coordination with other sub-system teams.

2. Test Completion, Review and Improvement
- Expected to analyze and implement overall test improvement geared towards successful project completion.

3. Test Execution
- Expected to proactively identify, analyze and resolve execution issues providing assurance of test execution in line with quality expectations.

4. Prepared software and test environment
- Expected to setup and troubleshoot environment issues for simple project and will be guided for medium to large projects.
- Must be able to escalate software and environmental issues and follow through with resolution.

5. Detected & Tracked defects
- Expected to incorporate best practices to analyze and generate defect reports contributing to latent and non-defect prevention.

6. Stakeholder Management
- Responsible for proactive resolution of issues related to project support tasks and stakeholder management.

7. Adheres and Optimises Standards and Processes
- Expected to optimize existing standards and processes.

8. Leadership
- Dynamically adapts to situational change and aligns team with regards to objectives whilst implementing innovation, knowledge share and skill growth applied holistically across all competencies within proficiency level.
- Knowledge share of past issues and possible resolutions.
- Analyze and assess projects for better results and new implementations of test strategies and approach.

9. Test Consulting
- Create test strategy and test approach.

10. Live Testing
- Understand how deployments occur live and can generate URLs independently.

11. Load and Performance Testing
- Can execute tests with guidance from senior testers and specialists

Qualifications:

- ISTQB Foundation
- IT Related BDC/BCom/Ndip & 2 years testing experience
- 3 years testing experience
