The Galileo Open Air Cinema is now recruiting for CINEMA CREW TEAM MEMBERS
to work during the summer season (31 October to 30 April).

**Job overview**:
Set-up of the movie venue before the doors open, fulfil various customer service roles during the event and break down and pack away at the end of the show.

Start times vary between 1.30pm (weekends) 12.30pm (Sundays) and 2.30pm (weekdays) and end around midnight.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a natural inclination for attention to detail and have a flair for decorating.
- You need to be a fast mover and shaker and a perfectionist All tasks need to be done correctly first time, as we have very strict time deadlines.
- Be physically strong, fit and healthy with lots of stamina.
- Our equipment is heavy, and a high volume of items need to be carried around, which takes a couple of hours.
- Must enjoy working with people and be able to communicate easily with strangers. A good sense of humour and a lively personality is critical for the job.
- You must be an extrovert who can communicate effectively, listen well and have a lot of patience, as we pride ourselves in superior customer service.
- Enjoy working in a team.
- All duties and responsibilities are interlinked and therefore you must have the ability to function well as part of a team.
- **You must have your own reliable transport.**
- You **CANNOT** make use of public transport as there is no public transport available to/from many of our venues, and, not at midnight. We also do not hire people who rely on friends or family for transport as this has not worked on numerous times in the past.

**Pay rate**:

- Payment is per shift at a rate of R500 for weekdays and R600 for weekends.
- We pay every Thursday, from FNB, for shifts that were worked during the previous week.
- We do not pay for petrol money - this is considered in the pay rate.
- We do not pay extra for Sundays and Public Holidays.
