Artisan Aide

**Job Advert Summary**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- 6 months working experience in a Mechanical Welding Workshop environment
- Code B driver’s license and the ability to pass the Rand Water K53 drivers evaluation.
- Safety Training.

**Primary Duties**:

- Assist Artisan in selecting tools and cleaning of machine/parts.
- Assist the Artisan in holding metal work in position while it’s been welded.
- Remove excess welding to even the area using a Grinder.
- Lift and carry all manufactured equipment, loads on a trolley and conveys to places of installation.
- Collect spares and material and ensure that enough material is available. Change and replace gas bottles.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the welding workshop. Remove all scrap metals off cuts from the workshop etc.

- Basic knowledge on using welding/cutting equipment
- Welding and cutting positions
