Our client requires the services of a Professional Nurse (Cath Lab)

**POSITION**:Permanent

**COMMENCEMENT**:As soon as possible

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**
- Degree/Diploma in General Nursing
- Midwifery, Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in relevant specialty area
- 1 Year Post Graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialized unit

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
- Pharmacology
- Scientific nursing principles and process
- Nursing record keeping
- Patient assessment skills
- Nursing processes and procedures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Developer/modify a nursing care plan
- Relevant nursing legislation
- Basic life support trained (ACLS, ATLS, PALS training for specialized wards)
- Risk identification

**ROLE**:

- To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.
- Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
- Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
- Ensure that all utilized stock and equipment are accurately charged.
