Babylonstoren has an exciting opportunity for an assistant winemaker to join the cellar team.

**Requirements**:

- BScAgric or BAgric Viticulture and Oenology (Stellenbosch University or Elsenburg Agricultural College).
- Good wine knowledge.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Passionate team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving licence is a requirement.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays when required (especially during harvest).
- Own accommodation and transport.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the head winemaker with daily cellar activities to ensure that the best possible wines are produced.
- Manage the cellar team alongside the head winemaker.
- Perform quality and hygiene control.
- Responsible for administration regarding SAWIS, IPW certification, FSA audit, BMV and 5-S.
- Inventory control.
- Assist at wine fairs and festivals.
- Assist at wine club events.
- Handle competition entry administration.
- Liaise between Babylonstoren and contracted teams.
- Any other wine-related activities.
