**Purpose of Position**:
Ø To collect blood specimens for medical pathology analysis.
Ø To conduct patient health assessments and screening, i.e. glucose & blood pressure & blood oxygen
Ø To provide quality customer service to consumers within the legal-ethical framework of the nursing profession in a phlebotomy environment
**Duties & Key Responsibilities**
Ø Ensure that Phlebotomy procedures are undertaken professionally according to Standard Operating Procedures and in a friendly manner.
Ø Perform phlebotomy related administrative tasks to ensure correct recording and processing of information
Ø Ensure safety standards are upheld.
Ø Maintain good client relations to promote the image of the practice.

Ø Handle administration duties
Ø Relationship Building
Ø Communication skills: Read, write and speak fluently in English.
Ø Basic CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) skills.
**Qualification Requirements**:
Ø SANC registered as a Nurse
Ø Certificate: Phlebotomy techniques, Grade 12, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
**Required Experience**:
Experience in pathology laboratory environment advantageous.
**Applicants must have a South African ID or a valid South African work permit**
