**JOB PURPOSE**
The purpose of the Supply Chain Supervisor is to manage the delivery pipeline of our products from the factory where it is produced to receiving the shipments in our warehouse.

**JOB OBJECTIVES**

**Planning and analyzing inventory**
- Responsible for the optimal supply of products by analysing warehouse capacity and prioritsing orders to be delivered to fulfill sales orders and in stock
- Responsible for managing inventory into Barron timeously to ensure that sales demands are met
- Working with the product planning division to ensure that the planned receipts arrive timeously and within the financial requirements

**Customs management**
- Responsible for managing and dealing with customs to ensure the fast and efficient delivery of products to the warehouse
- Accountable for expediting the clearance of goods by ensuring the relevant documentation is completed and bonds are paid before the products arrive at the port of entry

**Inbound tracking**
- Responsible for tracking deliveries from supplier factory ready dates, to bookings with the forwarding agent and on-time delivery to Barron

**Reporting**
- Working with planning division to ensure reliability of delivery dates to customers and sales

**Financial**
- Ensuring a close relationship with suppliers and finance to ensure payments of products are communicated and effectively executed
- Work with planning and finance to calculate the landed costs of products

**Manage Freight forwarding agent**
- Responsible for managing freight cost by negotiating contract and rates
- Ensure that appropriate import and export compliance procedures are followed by employees and service providers

**People management**

Responsible for managing the performance of the supply planning team

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications**
- NQF 7 Supply Chain Management
- Certificate in Importing products

**Knowledge**
- Supply Chain processes
- Vendor management
- Understanding contracts / legal documents
- Inventory management
- Customs management
- Understanding of the different requirements across different countries in terms of duties, tariff codes and nuances of importing stock into South Africa

**Experience**
- Supply Chain Supervisor 3 to 5 years
- Working with freight forwarders
- Importing products
- Managing people 2 to 3 years
