The Project Manager is accountable for the timeous design and development of new and revamped restaurants in accordance with budgeted DOA dates, and operational and Brand standards through effective project management of construction projects including the management of and interface with contractors, suppliers, and internal/external stakeholders.

**Minimum Requirements**:
5 years experience in project management with a focus on design and development and exposure to quantity surveying, export, construction, design, project management, budget management, and supplier management

**Educational Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, or building sciences or related field required; or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Project Management (70%)**
- Conduct surveys of approved sites to determine optimal Casa design
- Work with the market project managers and their teams in order to provide guidance to designers regarding Casa layouts and specifications
- Oversee the completion of drawings by Designers
- Obtain quotes and costings from external service providers and manage
- Review project proposals and plans in order to determine time frames, procedures, project staffing requirements, and the allocation of available resources for the various phases of the project
- Provide a detailed project execution plan covering all aspects of the project
- Monitor project administration and progress against the project plan
- Develop and manage the scope, schedule, and budget of assigned projects and report progress to the LM Head of Design and Development on a regular basis
- Monitor the efficient use of materials and equipment
- Monitor the contractual performance of the project
- Oversee the effective building process and all applicable trades of new or revamped Casa sites
- Ensure that the project budget is available for the procurement of equipment and resources for all construction projects
- Supervise project activities in order to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with established designs and take appropriate action to minimize the impact of deviations
- Manage quality throughout the design and build process, conducting final snag-list inspections and approving final payment of contractors
- Lead project meetings and communicate information related to each function’s requirements
- Resolve any problems that may arise during project execution
- Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders in order to ensure a clear understanding of project status
- Collect and collate information from the project team and update project documentation as required
- Document any non-compliance from landlords and forward this information to the LM Head of Design and Development

**Project Export and Procurement (Africa) (10%)**
- Coordinates all exportations from South Africa with finance, freight companies, projects managers, and any other required parties
- Have knowledge of the export process and cross-border regulations for the Africa Business
- Place orders for all goods to be procured from South Africa for the African Markets
- Work with Nando’s Finance and legal teams for the relevant cross-border documentation
- Provide SADC certificates for the export of SA-procured items
- Liaise and work with transport companies who will take our orders across the border
- Understand the clearing and duties process
- Understand the timeline and risk for goods crossing the border

**Stakeholder and Relationship Management (10%)**
- Liaise with developers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that project objectives are met within time and quality targets
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure that projects remain within budget and delivered on time, where applicable
- Forecast future projects and resource requirements
- Influence a range of internal and external stakeholders and partners in order to ensure collaboration and commitment to the project and achievement of the project milestones
- Secure stakeholder input in order to manage the day-to-day operations of the project
- Communicate with the relevant stakeholders to highlight any potential issues

**Project Budget and Financial Management (10%)**
- Draw up a comprehensive bill of quantities in order for contractors and suppliers to quote accurately in all markets
- Manage Capex for all builds relative to design in all markets
