Technician: Electro Mechanical

**Purpose**

To provide high level mechanical & electrical development and technical support for effective maintenance and repairs of Electrical, Water, Heating Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVACR) and Humidity Reticulation.

**Main Responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- Provide high level technical support for effective corrective and preventative maintenance and repairs of (HVACR) and Humidity Reticulation.
- Develop an effective fault-finding programme.
- Develop, review and update preventive/corrective maintenance programme.
- Perform Mechanical & Electrical systems installations including modifications.
- Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effect Analyses (FMECA) activities and implement sustainable engineering solutions in order to improve availability and reliability of the HVAC plant and equipment.
- Scope and compile technical specifications and manage internal and external (contractors) resources for departmental projects.
- Maintain and provide input in the compilation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI) for complex technical tasks.
- Develop safe work procedures (SWP) and report any residual risks or incidents to the general machinery regulations (GMR) 2.1 appointee or HOD
- Ensure all statutory requirements and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure compliance to ISO system within the Facilities Maintenance section and log non-conformances in line with the company procedure.
- Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality regulations and standards are adhered to in line with the legal requirements.
- Ensure updated risk assessments at all times and conduct HIRA for all projects
- Ensure updated and availability of critical spares and plant technical documentation at all times.
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to artisans, learners and apprentices.
- Tech Mechanical Engineering
- Certificate in Air-conditioning & Refrigeration will be an added advantage
- 5- 8 years’ experience in HVAC sytems, electrical and diesels boilers
- Experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and Control of works
