- making entire communities inaccessible to world markets and depriving them of essential goods.

Cloudline is an African-founded start-up that designs and manufactures autonomous, solar-powered airships that can carry larger payloads at a fraction of the cost of all drone technology currently available worldwide

To date, Cloudline has raised over $4 million to develop its technology, grow local talent and ramp up production for its first customers in Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa. Using a model to train and recruit local talent in each customer country, Cloudline is making aerospace careers a viable option for all young talented youth in Africa while opening the world to vibrant yet underserved African communities.

Cloudline is searching for a Production Technician to join its Engineering Team in Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands. The incumbent will be responsible for the production and manufacturing of various aircraft systems including electrical, mechanical and composites.

The incumbent will report to the Production Manager and will have the below key duties:
**Responsibilities**:

- Follow production schedules and timelines for the building and assembling of flight systems
- Work from layout drawings, point-to-point wire lists and wiring schematics
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools
- Assemble mechanical components including sheet metal parts, machined parts, printed parts, composite materials and various others
- Perform composite layups with carbon fiber and fiberglass
- Perform acceptance and cycle tests of components and systems
- Document assembly and testing procedures and results
- Service flight systems that are due for maintenance

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Production Technician or similar role
- 2-3 years relevant experience
- Ideally have worked in the UAV industry before
- Diploma or certificate in relevant field
- Good eye-hand coordination to construct small parts and pieces into a final product
- The ability to use various hand tools to produce a final product
- Good soldering experience and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions, diagrams and schematics as delivered for each product
- High-level of computer skills as you will be configuring equipment and systems

**Other**:

- Based in Cape Town, South Africa, or able to relocate there
- Willingness to travel globally as needed
