**About the role**

We are currently on the lookout for an exceptional Geologist - Digital to work in our South Africa or Zambia offices.In return for your professional commitment, we can offer a healthy salary, genuine career pathways and support into leadership or engineering specialisation.

**What you will be doing**
- Leading training workshops during implementation and periodically afterwards to help customers realize the full value of Orica solutions;
- Establishing regular cadence (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) with each assigned client, to review program status;
- Interacting directly with customers across various departments - D&B, Geology, Geo-tech, GIS, Metallurgy, Comminution and Operations - understand the unique challenges/constraints they operate under and articulate to them how Orica’s solutions address those challenges;
- Acting as the Orica liaison for customer’s technical inquiries, issues or escalations. This will include working with Orica Support team, Product owners, Architects, developers and/or others as needed;
- Cementing yourself as a trusted/strategic advisor with customers and drive continued value of our products and services;
- Working to identify and/or develop upsell opportunities;
- Providing input into the product development roadmap, support models, and emerging technologies;
- Identification and implementation of systems, processes, and procedures for scalable release of new solutions to Orica’s markets across the world.

**What you will bring**
- Production geology and grade control experience (geostatistics, resource modelling, resource estimation, and reconciliation);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, social skills including the ability to chair meetings or host webinars;
- Customer relationship management experience;
- Drill and blast experience advantageous
- Computer Literate and Project management experience
- Office and field-based training and mentoring experience;
- Must be able to travel internationally to remote locations when required, estimated travel of up to 50%. (estimated average 25% Since travel is based on customer and business need there may be more or less travel depending on location of customers).
