**INTRODUCTION**

Grain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd, is a dynamic role player in the integrated broiler industry with an abattoir in Reitz in the North Eastern Free State. We offer you the opportunity to establish yourself within a professional, corporate environment in the countryside.

**JOB DECRIPTION**
**To drive to various farms on a daily basis and perform dry-cleaning duties in various chicken houses according to standard operating procedures. Will be on the road 80% - 90% of the time and expected to travel alone and perform the dry-cleaning of the chicken houses, **independently**.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
- Code 10 licence with PDP.
- Experience in dry-cleaning of chicken houses required.
- Understanding of the lay-out of chicken houses is required.
- Some form of mechanical ability is required.
- Will engage with GFC Contract Growers on the farms, therefore the Ability communicate in Afrikaans is **essential**.
- Good client interaction skills with both internal/ external customers.
- A willingness to work overtime, incl. Saturdays & Sundays.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Travel to various farms on a daily basis to perform dry-cleaning duties of the chicken houses.
- Required to follow laid-down Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) when performing the dry-cleaning from start to finish.
- Dry-cleaning will be performed after the catching of all the chickens in the houses.
- Completion of the required documentation including the pre-dry-cleaning checklist, to ensure the machine to be used is ready as per SOP.
- Responsible for securing the chicken house after the dry-cleaning to restrict unauthorized access.
- Ensure the machine is filled up with diesel at the end of shift, in preparation for the next day.
- May be required to perform basic mechanical repairs where necessary.
- Any other duties as may be required by management.
