Platemaker

**Purpose**

To produce plates in accordance with specifications for Litho, Screen, Intaglio and Coating sections.

**Main Responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- Adhere to compliance policies, procedures and processes.
- Produce and manufacture plates by using different manufacturing techniques and equipment.
- Produce plates according to specifications.
- Perform process maintenance according to set schedules.
- Taking of stock to ensure availability of printing plates.
- Report and record measurements and non-conformance.
- Adhere to safety standards and quality regulations.
- Lead and supervise the team through recruitment, development, training, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Perform any reasonable task as assigned by team leaders/management.

**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:

- Matric
- TT3 with Printing or Electronic Origination Trade
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Printer/ Platemaker
