**The Position**:
To manage the delivery of efficient and cost-effective facility and property related services and administration for the Eduvos Midrand campus within the mutually agreed service scope at the allocated site(s). The role reports to the Head of Operations.

**Minimum qualification**:

- National Diploma, or related qualifications, degree in related field of study preferred
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH Qualification.
- Registered with SAIOSH and SAFMA.

**Experience**:

- 5 to 7 years experience
- Ability to demonstrate a theoretical and practical knowledge of facilities management at an operational level.

**Functional and technical competencies**:

- MS Office skills, exceptional Word skills
- Ability to interpret the required financial and legislative components that form part of property management.
- Act in a proactive and solutions focussed manner to solve operational challenges.
- Understand the consequential impact of decisions made and the ability to operate within a stressful environment.
- Good understanding of the OHSA, including the related Pearson policy.
- High attention to detail with analytical mindset and project management ability, planning and organisational skills.

**Accountabilities**:

- Property and Facilities Management
- Collaborate with the National Facilities and Properties Manager to ensure effective administration of all leased property within your allocated site(s).
- Support and drive all large-scale facilities related projects as requested i.e. refurbishment, re-instatement, newbuild and relocation projects.
- Lead the management of daily operations within your allocated site(s) and in line with the agreed services matrix i.e. building and equipment maintenance, frontline operations, cleaning services, fleet management, health and safety coordination and security, etc.
- Ensure optimal supplier relationships at all times in terms of value and service and ensure the required SLA and KPI targets are monitored and reported on, any concerns to be escalated to the National Facilities and Properties Manager. Leadership and Financial management
- Manage costs against operational and capital expenditure budgets.
- Formulate operational, capital budgets and revised forecasts.
- Leading a professional and efficient facilities team that provides efficient and cost-effective services to Eduvos Midrand campus
- Work collaboratively, innovatively, and supportively of peers in the Operations Team and colleagues across the services lines to drive service excellence. Risk and Compliance Management
- Collate and supply facilities related information required to update the relevant business continuity plans.
- Implement and take ownership of legislative compliance and Eduvos policy matters i.e. health and safety standards, code of conduct, etc.
- Gather and collate information related to environmental matter, health and safety matters.
- Management of supplier declarations and indemnity forms.
- Ensure compliance to Facilities Management national standards in all key sites within your allocated portfolio.
- Procurement: Manage the procurement of goods and services within the framework of the central procurement strategy.
- Continuously seek and recommend to the National Facilities and Properties Manager for supplier rationalization, cost savings or service improvements.
- Maintain Health and Safety Compliance on the Eduvos Midrand Campus
- Ensure quarterly Health and Safety Committee meetings are scheduled and documented
- Ensure the archival of all signed Health and Safety Appointments.
- Appoint, train, and maintain all training for Health and Safety team members.
- Update and maintain all Health and Safety documents in files.
- Manage contractor OHS and risk mitigation.
- Roll out yearly inductions for staff and students
- Ensure that regular inspections of the campus environment are performed
- Ensure the regular service of fire equipment and fire alarms
- Maintain All OHS signage
