MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 or equivalent
Code 14 (EC) driver’s license
Advanced driving
Must be a South African and reside within Blouberg or Musina Municipality
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
At least 3 - 4 years’ related experience
Understanding of logistics & warehousing
Working knowledge of vehicle safety & control systems
Good understanding of geographical location
Understanding of maps & road signage
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections
Report all incidents & accidents to direct supervisor without delay
Report all unsafe conditions & unsafe acts to supervisor immediately
Inspect vehicle for defects & safe operating condition before, during & after trips
Submit a written report on the condition of the vehicle at the end of each trip
Log mileage pre and post trip
Perform all pick-up and off-loading in accordance with company SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
Good planning of your trips in respect of time, size of goods & readiness of the right vehicle
Comply with all the rules of the road
Proper drop off/ delivery of goods from origin to destination
Monitor the vehicle inspection sheet & communicate discrepancies to supervisor
Monitor the renewal dates of vehicle license discs & report to supervisor
