Scale operators are responsible for operating industrial scales, which are used to weigh large quantities of materials. **Requirements**: - Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent - Proven work experience as a Technical Operator - Hands-on experience with (e.g., Technical scanners/ printers) - Training & Experience **Duties and responsibility** - Engineering - Plant Downtime >3% p/m - Engineering - Machine Unavailability >3% p/m - Work Order Backlog < 3% p/m - Daily Utilisation 85% p/m - Statutoty Work Orders (H&S) 100% completion - Housekeeping (Key 1) - Responded Times On Breakdowns > 2 Min - Reporting Back to HOD 100% complaint - Monitoring equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and making adjustments as needed - Recalibrating the scale if it becomes inaccurate - Inspecting incoming goods to ensure that they meet federal regulations regarding size, weight, labeling, and safety before they are stored in warehouses or shipped out to customers - Recording and maintaining records of inventory levels and weights to ensure compliance with government regulations - Communicating with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials or equipment - Maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety regulations, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required - Performing maintenance tasks on equipment such as oiling machinery or replacing parts as needed **Skills required** - Attention to detail - Problem-solving skills - Reporting - Listening skills - Physical stamina **Other Information** - The company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion. - VKB Group is an equal opportunity employer.
