**Overview & Key Responsibilities**
This role is responsible for working with the planner and maintenance teams in developing the scheduled maintenance programs and processes for all equipment on all on sites facilities to minimizing the impact on production.
The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Continually improving planning, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency. 2. Developing time estimates of all planned major maintenance work. 3. Ensuring that maintenance planning key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance/ planning and scheduling business flow processes. 4. Up-keep and accuracy of technical information/manuals/PAC on processes, plant and equipment. 5. Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with all those individuals who receive service from or provide support, guidance or assistance to the maintenance department. 6. Improving task planning and scheduling through continuous feedback from production foremen, maintenance supervisors and field engineers. 7. Scanning of machinery reports, analyser reports and shutdown reports. 8. Issuing and retrieval of PM and Ad-hoc work orders. 9. Verification of feedback and ensuring correct asset numbers has been allocated.
**Essential Requirements**
- 1. A minimum of N3/ Trade test in Mechanical Engineering;
- 2. Must have knowledge in Electrical and Instrumentation;
- 3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy industry as an **Artisan**;
- 4. Must have at least 3 years in a planning role;
- 5. Must be computer literate and proficient in the MS Office suite;
- 6. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
