COMMERCIAL MANAGER: SUPPLY CHAIN

An industry leader in the manufacturing sector has an opportunity for a highly competent, driven COMMERCIAL MANAGER to join their supply chain team. The successful person will report in to the Supply Chain Executive, focussing on SAP and the commercial side of the supply chain portfolio. A CA(SA) qualification is essential, along with experience in a commercial supply chain role. This is an ideal opportunity for a resilient, qualified individual with a few years of relevant experience who is looking to establish a career with a company that offers growth and longevity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Management of working capital investment in stock to company parameters
- Effectively forecasting inventory requirements
- Development of effective measures to monitor performance across the supply chain, taking action to correct deviations to achieve departmental objectives
- Management of all risk and commercial aspects of insurance
- Management of regions IT requirements
- Management of the full SAP function
- Roll out of new SAP4HANA system
- Analysis of Masterdata variances and the correction thereof
- Product costing management
- Contract management - Service Level Agreements, MOU’s, leases
- Monitoring the adherence to ISO 9001/FSSC22000 supply chain procedures
- Manage and drive organisational cost and savings projects across the supply chain
- Create and develop training material to train the relevant parts of the business.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- A CA (SA) qualification is essential for this role.
- Have at least 4-5 years’ experience in a commercial or financial role
- At least 2 - 3 years’ experience managing a finance team a must (responsible for Management Accounts, budgets packs, Income Statement’s, payments, cashbook etc included in portfolio).
- Some experience in FMCG or Manufacturing definitely a big plus
- Experience in SAP Master data, costings, margins, Procurement, working capital management etc advantageous
- Strong planning and organising skills
- An ability to influence others
- Have an ability to see opportunities and turn them into reality
- Be a problem solver
- Be enthusiastic, positive, and self-energized

REMUNERATION

Market related including benefits and performance bonus. Please indicate salary expectation when applying.
