Pastry Cook

- Key Responsibilities:_
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and other desserts according to recipes and company standards
- Assist in the development of new dessert menus and recipes
- Ensure all desserts and baked goods are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
- Train and mentor junior pastry cooks as needed
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and grooming standards
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastry Chef or management team
- Qualifications:_
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role
- Formal culinary training or degree in pastry arts is preferred
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Creativity and ability to develop new and unique dessert ideas
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and superiors
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and grooming standards
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
