A diverse investment management firm, owning a group of companies with specialist expertise and interests in renewable energy, agriculture, and financial services, have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager who will manage and coordinate the project execution portfolio of PV Solar Energy and renewable energy projects across Southern Africa (focus South Africa).

The ideal person will be a natural leader who can make assertive decisions, combined with an entrepreneurial flair. (Someone who knows how to bring the team together to work towards the same goal)

**KPi’s will include**:

- Executing, monitoring, control and close-out of all projects; from the internal project hand-over receipt, to project delivery of the agreed scope at an acceptable quality standard, followed by client hand-over, including project deliverables, and financial close that include cost management
- Directing, mentoring and coaching the team following sound project management principles, systems, procedures and work instruction,
- Responsible for the contractual management of the project portfolio; providing support and advice to the business
- Develop Processes and Procedures and ensure projects are executed in accordance with our contractual obligations as defined by the relevant contracts
- Set up the Operation and Maintenance division for the energy plants
- People management
- Stakeholder management

**Qualifications**:

- BSc/ BTech in Electrical Engineering
- Registered profession with ECSA
- Code 08 (EB) Driver’s Licence
- Advantageous: Project Management Professional qualification.

**Experience**:

- Min. 5 - 7 years post grad experience within the engineering industry
- 2 - 4 years electrical design experience within renewable energy.
- Previous design experience in solar systems design
- Previous Project Management experience, from design through to commissioning and handover
- Previous Contract Management experience

This will be a permanent position based in Pretoria East.
