**Requirements**:

- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Three (3) to Five (5) years relevant experience in an electricity

distribution system or public lighting environment, with
exposure to a wide range of technologies.
- Good project management skills.
- Sound knowledge of safety legislation and practice.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem Solving skills.
- A high degree of computer literacy.
- Valid Code B driver’s license.

**Special conditions may include**:

- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to work outside normal working hours as demanded

by the exigencies of the service.
- Required to use own transport for which an appropriate transport

allowance will be payable.
Key Performance Areas
KPA weighting will be adjusted to meet the requirements of the
placed.
- Planning, designing and implementing network extensions and

public lighting infrastructure in response to customer power
- Coordinate the implementation of minor and major service

connection projects (SCP, SIP, PI, PLD).
- Facilitate the establishment of residential township

developments (SCP, SIP, PLD).
- Facilitate the establishment of electrification projects

(SIP, PLD, SCP).
- Facilitate the regulation of new or upgraded SSEG

installations (SCP, SIP).
- Assist in the planning, designing and implementing of short

to medium term development of the electricity distribution
system and public lighting infrastructure (SIP, SCP, PLD).
- Perform project coordination and contract management
